The University of Sydney Chess Club Presents the 2026 Australian Chess Championships
The ACF has accepted and confirmed the bid from the University of Sydney Chess Club to host the 2026 Australian Championships following the withdrawal of Western Australia.
Exact details are still provisional, and registrations are not yet open. An update will be provided once this is available.

The event will take place in the Belinda Hutchinson Building of the University of Sydney’s Business School (formerly Abercrombie Business School). On-site accommodation is available, and details will be released as soon as they become available.
Dates: 5th to the 15th of January

Australian Championships, Australian Reserves and the Australian Blitz Championships.
USYD Major, USYD Minor, and the USYD Rapid.
